Once Zoe's pounding headache had subsided, they moved to get a closer look at the world around them. They could see a path close by - just a few feet away. Beyond it, if they squinted, they could see what they hoped was a town on the horizon. Looking around, however, they found themselves surrounded by fields. Taking a deep breath, Zoe did another look over their shoulders - there wasn't another living person, as far as they could tell, in the surrounding area, so... this meant they had to take the path forward, right? Zoe hoped they were right in trusting their gut, as they took the first step forward.
