The new kitsune had beautiful bubbles all over her body, and a bright purple tail that stood out. She introduced herself as "Venus Ctenophore. But you can just call me Vee." and readily agreed to a new coop and Fyrehen.
"Thanks so much!" The happy water baby chirped. "What a way to be welcomed. Now my house might look unusual, but I promise for a water kit it's not so abnormal."
When Lady Elizabeth reached Vee's home, she found it built on a floating deck over the water. It was anchored to the land, but left a few questions. Vee explained that the wooden deck helped to keep the house from being submerged if the tide was higher than normal. The deck was sturdy and large enough to hold the humble house, as well as hold onto some traveling boats. The Nautical Kitsu quickly reassured Lady Elizabeth that she would be able to keep the coop dry, and out of the water. Luckily she also owned some dry land, and they were able to build the coop there. It was beautiful, and Vee was so excited that she couldn't stop wagging her tail. If she had been alone she would have leapt into the water to do some dolphin-like jumps.
"Although," She mused, "I may bring the Fyrehen inside the house sometimes. I don't want her to be lonely, and it gets cold by the water." She was clearly very excited to meet her new friend.
Vee took Lady Elizabeth inside to show her the rest of the home. It was a nice one bedroom house, with a working bathroom, kitchen, living room and attic for storage. The only real odd thing about the home was that there was a room with a hole in the floor where Vee could jump down into the water, or climb into the house. She explained that if there were any predators around she did have a net and covering for the water 'door'. Lady Elizabeth was then presented with lots of tasty snacks (some seaweed crackers, dried fish and sweet cakes) and some herbal tea. When they were done chatting, Vee saw Lady Elizabeth off, waving in a friendly manner and anticipating her new friend's arrival.
