Honeycomb had been building many sand castles throughout the summer and all of them had eventually been reclaimed by the sea. When he heard of a sand castle contest, he knew that he would need to ensure the preservation of his castle, in order for it to still be standing by the time the judges came around.

So it happened, that he spent the majority of the day creating a deep trench, nearly three feet deep, around his castle, with an off shoot canal feeding back towards the ocean. Honeycomb became to obsessed with making sure the moat was deep enough and the hill that his 'castle' stood upon was steady in the middle, that as the sun started to sink lower in the sky, he realized with alarm that he hadn't spent time on the actual castle!

Gathering a mount of sand atop the island in the midst of his moat, he placed a flower in the center of the mound, declared it a castle and ran to fetch one of the judges.

TLDR: It's a small bump of a castle, with a flower sticking out from the top of it. However, it is surrounded by a three foot deep trench, in case the ocean tries to reclaim the 'castle' for itself.
