It didn't matter what season it was, Zoe was always going to have chores to do. Sure, in the winter, they might change with the colder weather, but ultimately, it stayed the same throughout. Collect eggs from their hens, make sure that the coop was in order and didn't have any construction issues. Make sure that their five, precious fyrehens were comfortable in their living arrangements and had a balanced mix of a clean yet stimulating environment and a healthy, but varied diet. By all accounts, Zoe's fyrehens were leading a better lifestyle than they were. They didn't mind one bit, however. They'd known perfectly well what they were getting into, with all of Lady Elizabeth's aid from Farm Song. Livestock tending is a full-time gig, regardless of how cold it is outside.
