Altair all bundled up
Altair was comfy bundled up in her bed, sleeping soundly despite the cold outside. She had managed to make a nest of more blankets than seems like it should be possible and burrowed comfortably into it. It was soft, thick, warm, and felt safe. Her wings were folded up against her body and her tail wrapped around her legs. Her mask was on the nightstand nearby, it was a favored item of hers so it was always close if she wasn't wearing it. This was the way she had been sleeping since the weather got cold and it was perfect without question. The way she had her nest situated kept all the warmth trapped in, the blanket over her helped as well, and she had never had a more comfortable rest. She would probably stay burrowed in her blanket nest until the cold weather ended and things warmed up, but of course hibernating wasn't an option for her so she just settled for going to bed early and reading until she fell asleep in her comfy space. Her peaceful sleep, of course, did eventually have to come to an end. The sun was beginning to rise and she sighed as she slowly woke up, unable to return to sleep once it started becoming bright outside. With greatly exaggerated movements meant for nobody but her own dramatic need she stretched her arms above her head and her wings extended out fully in their own stretch. She needed to go into town today and pick some stuff up but her blanket nest was so inviting still. With an over exaggerated sigh she stood up and gave her full body a shake to get the last bit of sleep out of her bones, then grabbed her beak mask. She adored the mask, the way it added to her avian aesthetic made her so happy so she rarely went out without it. So with a reluctant sigh she grabbed her money and left the house, hoping knocking the chores out early would make them easier to get through. She needed to go grocery shopping and maybe pop in to see what Farm Song currently had in stock. That idea put an extra bit of pep in her step, she really enjoyed looking at all the cute farm animals she just had to work a little harder to get a coop and a barn before she could officially bring the livestock home though. As she walked into town she couldn't resist stopping at the shop she had bought a couple of her softest blankets from, just curious and wanting to look around. She hadn't planned on buying more but there was a gray one that felt like velvet and she couldn't resist how soft it felt so of course she bought it. The perfect addition to the bundle of blankets she enjoyed being wrapped up in, she couldn't wait! And she couldn't stop feeling the blanket, she didn't have one that felt like this so it was an exciting find which in turn made the rest of her errand go by quicker than if she had still been dreading them.
