Mother Daughter bonding

Calfuray was grown up now and on her own.  She still loved visiting her mother whenever time allowed however, which is what she was doing today.  She had just arrived at her mother's with Bubbly, her most loyal Pugfish pet, at her feet practically vibrating with excitement.  The Infernal didn't bother knocking, she knew if she did her mom would just scold her for "knocking on her own front door" as she always said this was still Cal's home no matter what.  

"Mooooom I'm here!" She called, accompanied by three excited barks from Bubbly.  The barking seemed to summon her mother's Wistella, Flutura who's wings fluttered as she padded over and purred while nuzzling Bubbly's face.  "You two are so cute." Cal added, smiling down at the two pets.  

"Oh welcome home Cal!" Fantasia called, walking into the living room with a small basked full of something clacking together.

"Whatcha got there?" She asked, her face full of curiosity and head tilted.  

"Do you remember when you were little and you collected all the rocks you found on our walks?" She asked reaching in and pulling out one that was painted light blue with two snow Kitsu on it.  

"Oh yes!  You kept them!" Cal brightened up, running over to her mom's side and digging into the basked.  Her mom chuckled and nodded as she handed the basked over for Cal to dig through.  

"Look at this one!" She held up another one that was somewhat shaped like a triangle but more rounded edges and she had painted it like a slice of pizza with pepperonis and peppers on it.  "And this one!" This time it was one that had some tiny wavey circles and black lines coming off of theme.  It was supposed to be her mother's Lallabaas, the Sky, Sunlight, and Frosting trio, right after they had been brought home and Cal had been absolutely enamored with their bright coloring.  

Fantasia nodded and stepped away while her daughter dug through the other rocks.  Cal barely noticed until her mom set some stuff in front of her.  Her eyes widened and she looked up at her mom with a hopefully excited expression.  Fantasia had set down some paints, a cup of water, and a couple very smooth rocks that she must have found recently.

"Ah yes let's paint!" Cal knew right away what she wanted to paint.  She was humming to herself while grabbing some oranges and reds, her mother painting soemthing on her own rock.  Then the Infernal switched to blue then white.  Her tail tip was flicking as she focused on what she was doing, the tip of her tongue poking out as well.  It was a comfortable silence for the pair while they painted until finally Cal was done.  "Look mom!" She was super proud, her art had come so far from her first rock with with Lalla-blobs.  This one had Flutura and Blubbly side by side, the Wistella's paw on Bubbly's head.  
"Oh that is amazing dear.  Look how good you've gotten.  I told you all that practice would pay off." Fantasia sounded so proud of her daughter and it made Cal smile even wider.
