Shell hunting

Sweet Tide had been living at Pugfish point for a bit now, she hadn't bothered to make a house since she didn't mind getting wet. She had a bucket so she could collect shells and she had made herself a boat out of a falling tree she had found. It had taken her a long time to carve it out using the tools she had made, but it had been worth all the work. She had recently taken a land kitsu named Saba around the point which had been pretty fun. Today she planned to go out and find some shells to sell to kitsu that came around the point as tourists since she knew the best places to find shells and could get to shells that land kitsu couldn't get to. 

 

Sweet Tide started walking along the beach when she knew the tide would bring up the best shells. She picked up one with a shining pink inside. She smiled and put it into her bucket. She then continued on picking up smaller basic shells. She then walked back to the spot she had made at the edge of the beach with palm leaves she then left her bucket there and grabbed the net bag she had made. 

 

Sweet Tide started walking back to the beach and then she dove into the water to search the water for the harder to get shells. She dove down and found a large cream color shell and she put it into her back and then returned to the surface for air. She dove back down and went around a piece of coral and found a pretty spiral purple shell with white markings. She smiled and put it into her bag and then returned to the surface once again for air. She then dove back down into the depths. She liked this world it was quiet and nothing really bothered her when she was in the water. 

 

She was able to keep her focus on collecting the shells that she planned to sell. She used her powerful tail to move her quickly through the water so she was able to quickly collect all the shells she wanted to. She then swam back to the beach to take her haul back to her spot to look over everything she had found that day. She laid the shells on the sand in front of her as she sat down dripping wet from the water she had just been swimming in. 

 

She wasn't worried about being too cold, since she was used to the chill of the water. Sweet Tide smiled and then put all the shells away that she planned to sell to the tourist kitsu. She was enjoying her simple life on the beach and really hadn't thought of doing anything else with her life as of yet. Perhaps someday she would decide to do more with her life, but for now she was content as she was. Once she was done putting her shells away she laid back on her palm leaves to relax.
