Climbing a tree

Crystal Dream had wings so she could have just flown up the tree, but that wasn't what she wanted to do, she wanted to try this without using her wings. So she found a tree that she thought would be a good climbing tree. She had her wings tucked tightly against her back as she reached for the first branch. She tested it's strength since she didn't want to grab onto a branch that was going to break. She had to then pull herself up on the branch which was no easy task since she had to pull her own weight up. 

 

She finally managed to get herself up onto the first branch then she started to look for the next branch she wanted. At least if she got really high and she fell she should be able to glide off to somewhere else. Least she hoped so since she really didn't want to fall and hit a bunch of branches on the way down. She found a branch that she felt was strong enough to hold her weight and she pulled herself up to the next branch. Her goal was to get to the top of the tree so she could look out in a different way then when she was flying. 

 

This also meant something to her that she was doing something that she could have done with her wings but instead, she was doing it the hard way. Perhaps some of the others with wings would think she was crazy. Crystal liked doing things differently and thinking of things differently. Doing things the easy way wasn't always the best way. She continued her climb being careful with all her movements and keeping her wings tightly to her back so the wind wouldn't catch them and pull her off balance. 

 

She kept going up till she reached the top and she looked out at the world from a different proceptive. A kitsu without wings would have to climb a tree like this to get this view and she wanted to respect everyone. She liked getting her hands dirty, she didn't see a reason to do things the perfect way. Life was complicated and seeing things from a different view could be helpful to her later on. Besides this was different than when she was flying and could stop to look around at the beauty of the world around her.

 

The way the light fell on the tree leaves all around her. It was like a sea of green with the light shining on all the leaves so beautiful. She looked down she would either have to climb down the hard way or she would have to jump off the top branch and fly off. Crystal decided the hard way was her thing. She made it back down to the ground, she was going to need a bath, she was a mess at this point but she really didn't mind one little bit. She was happy with what she had been able to do.
