Skipping stones

Crystal Dream went out for the day, she was living in the village her home was still pretty simple mostly the same run-down place she had moved into when she was summoned to this world. She didn't mind that her place wasn't great since there was so much in the world for her to see. Trees to climb, animals to see there was no reason for Crystal to be board with as much as the world had to offer. She wasn't sure what she wanted to do today, she was just wandering and enjoying the warm sunshine on her wings. 

 

She walked along a path with a number of trees on both sides of her and the shadows and dappled light were really pretty. She smiled and took a deep breath of the clean air around her. She enjoyed walking and taking her time to enjoy the world around her. She emerged from the tree line and found herself at a large lake. She looked down and saw there were a number of rocks on the shore. She picked up one of the rocks and she attempted to make it skip across the water. She frowned as she watched it just plop into the water after she threw it. 

 

She picked up a smaller rock and attempted to get it to skip once again. She tried throwing it lower and at an angle and she got it to skip a couple of times before it stopped and sunk into the water. She still wasn't happy with how well she was doing so she picked up another stone and she tried once again. She picked up a larger stone that was flat and she brought herself low and pulled her arm back and she threw the stone hoping it would hit right this time. She ended up throwing it way too hard and didn't get any skips this time. 

 

Skipping stones was tricky business, it wasn't as easy as it looked. Crystal wasn't about to give up though. She kept at it still when the sun began to set in the sky. She picked up another stone and tried not to throw it so hard this time. This time she managed to get  the stone to skip a bunch of times. She watched as each time it hit the water hit made a ripple on the water. She smiled enjoying this activity to the fullest. It was getting late though so she had to start heading back to town after her day of skipping stones. She didn't want to be out this far alone when it was fully dark, since she really didn't want to get lost out here with no good way to get back to town. 

 

Once Crystal Dream reached town she headed to her house and went into thinking about her lovely day of skipping stones and walking in nature. It had been a wonderful day and certainly something she wanted to do again at some point maybe tomorrow even.
