Runaway Chicken

Kiwi had spent a few day getting herself settled into her new home. She had managed to plot where she wanted her herb gardens and flowers. She couldn't wait to get things tilled and then planted. But first she need to go get Butterball some feed. Going over to her coop she looked in on her hen. **"How you doing sweety? Do you want to go with me today? I think Elizabeth will be able to tell me where we can get you some more feed."** *cluck cluck* Butterball vocalized and the fluffed up some dirty happy where she was. **""Oh ok i see your busy. Ill be back soon then don't have to much fun."** *Cluck cluck* 

 

Kiwi headed out towards the gazebo again. She was not sure she would find Elizabeth there again but it was a good starting point. After a short walk Kiwi heard some yelling making her ear twitch up to attention. *''You little rascals get back here."* Kiwi recognized the voice as Elizabeth and she raced forward to see what might be happening. **"Hello there how are you doing?"** *"Oh thank goodness. I have been working all morning to get these Fyrehens back into their coop. Do you think you can help?"* Kiwi smiled and gave a nod. **"Sure no problem at all. After maybe you can show me the best type of feed for Butterball?"** Elizabeth nodded back with a returned smile. *"For sure. Sounds like a fair trade off. Ok now you go left and ill go right and then we can corner them."* It took the rest of the morning and half the afternoon to catch all the hens. Kiwi was dirty and covered in lost feathers from stressed hens but they had finally put them all in a coop. **"Well that was fun."** she giggled it really had been fun. *"Yes well lets get you that feed. I am sure your hen will be missing you."* Elizabeth helped Kiwi find some good feed and Kiwi left to go feed her Butterball. (341)
