Fantasia's Rainy Day

Fantasia was out with her baas, chatting with them and giggling as they played and ran around. It was one of her favorite things to do in her downtime but that was about to be cut short just then. The wind shifted and she caught a whiff of rain in the air. Her ears perked as she listened for anything else like thunder but it seemed it was just rain coming. For now at least. The baas seemed to be aware of the weather change as well, their playful energy fading fast as they bleated to each other and started moving closer to the barn. Fantasia was grateful they were eager to get in the shelter, sometimes they were brats when the weather changed like this and would run away from her so she'd end up soaking wet before they were all safe in the barn. Today, she was able to just gently guide them into the barn. She triple checked that everyone was accounted for before shutting the barn up tight so she didn't have to deal with stinky baa fur when the storm passed. As she stepped back she felt the sky let loose. It wasn't a few warning drops, it was like someone dumped a bucket on her head immediately and she let out a startled yelp. With wide eyes she ran back to her house, desperate to get out of the rain. She skidded through the door and shook herself to get rid of the excess water dripping off of her fur. With a sigh she looked down at the puddle she had created and went to fetch a towel to dry herself off real well before grabbing a second towel to clean up the water mess before she got comfortable.
Once that was taken care of and she was dried off she grabbed her sketch book and utensils. She got herself comfy in her chair next to the window She liked the way the rain sounded on the roof and there was something soothing about watching the droplets drip down the windows. She started doodling her baa's, with their cute faces and cloud like fluff. Drawing was, by far, her favorite thing to do to pass the time on rainy days where she couldn't do much of her outside hobbies. Filling her sketchbooks was always fun, and she had pride as she sketched she could slowly see her progress with art. So while the sky was darker than usual and the tap tap tap of the rain on the roof filled the silence of the house she drew. She moved on from drawing baas to doodling her Fyrefowl. Those were a bit harder. Something about their feet was giving her a hard time and she couldn't get it quite right. She tried a few times but finally decided to move on, she could work on feet later when she wasn't feeling as frustrated with it. She doodled a few more things, took a small break to get some lunch, then went back to practicing Fyrefowl feet. She worked on that for most of the rest of the time the rainstorm was going, feeling both accomplished and irritated she hadn't gotten as good as she had hoped.
