Being summoned felt a bit like being woken abruptly by having a bucket of ice water dumped on your head. All of Erishoth's senses flared to life at once after being unused for what felt like an eternity. He couldn't remember much of anything. Even his own name felt more like something he'd seen in a book once versus a part of his identity. He closed his eyes and turned on his side on the ground. Even the pale light of the moon and the dirt against his fur felt like too much. He wanted nothing more than to curl in on himself and return to the void from whence he'd come.

"There you are."

The first sound Erishoth heard that wasn't his own racing thoughts or desperate gasps for air was a voice. The familiarity of her voice was like a rush of water on a burning flame. Her voice was home. Suddenly, he could breathe again.
