Zoe's early days were spent awkwardly trying to chat with other Silverlight townsfolk that seemed more rooted into the town. They hoped that if they kept talking to enough folks in town, maybe they'd find themselves a home to move into. They were tempted to linger on the outskirts of town, where they first gained awareness, but while Zoe felt more comfortable at the idea of being away from others, they doubted they would be able to make any sort of permanent residence there.

Is that what they wanted? To stay in Silverlight forever, as a fyrefowl or lallabaa breeder? Or going out every day to collect grasses and twigs and such organic matters one would find on the ground. All of this in hopes of... what? The idea of monotonous living didn't appeal to Zoe, they were certain of that, but what choice did they have? They didn't know how to move forward - what was beyond Silverlight? So, despite their desires, they began a routine, rocky though it felt.

Every day, they would go talk to someone - that was their daily goal: find someone to talk to. They hadn't a home to live in - it felt weird just walking up to someone, pointing at a building and going "hey, can I live there?" so they had gotten used to roughing it outdoors, propped up under a tree with their tails curled across their lap. Primarily, they would sleep from early morning (when it was still dark out) to just after noon. They did not care to sleep all throughout the evening, lest they get cold as night came. Besides, when the moon came out, they found that they could walk through and gather what resources they could, without the worry of needing to chatter with anyone else. Above all else, it was the judgement of the town - the fear of always being seen as an outsider, through sideways looks and small sighs in their direction, that Zoe feared.

So, they'd sleep, they'd wake up, they'd talk to ONE person at least, and then they'd gather what resources, however small, they might find. They felt like a burden on the town of Silverlight, but Zoe didn't know where else to go - was there even any place else to go, really?
