Verdan found a house for rent not long into getting to Silverlight city. He loved the idea of having a small house to live in and take care of himself and maybe have some hens or something to tend to. He set to cleaning the place and getting it set up how he wanted, and eventually moved in some hens of his own to take care of. He loved the silly birds, and he loved seeing them run about and take care of the bugs in the yard. He had started working on a flower garden and started trying to grow some pretty flowers around the tree in the yard. He was not sure what to put around the pond, but he was sure that he wanted to put something around it that would make the small pond stand out even more and look more amazing than it currently did. He had a nice area for the hens, where he had them sleep for the night and where he kept their feed. He loved feeding them a few times a day and he sometimes would dig up worms and other bugs to toss their direction. They would squawk and chase the bugs and all fight over who would get to the bug first. He thought it was funny how they seemed to talk with each other somehow, in their own way. It was even more fun watching them chase the flying bugs, like the bees around the flowers or the butterflies. He tried to keep them away from the bees because they did so much good for the flowers. It was not going the smoothest, keeping them off of the bees because they seemed to chase anything that looked like a bug no matter what kind it was. But try he did to just keep the bees safe as possible; he might make a little safe home for the bees atop the house eventually. As it was, he just set about his chores most days of tending the animals and flowers and then cleaning what needed to be cleaned in the house.
