Evita is probably a kitsu who is more apt to work smarter not harder. But she's also not planning to dig to the other side, where ever that is. She's also one to take "beach combing" literally, having a rake fashioned from wood, Evita would simply run it over the surface of the sand. Whatever is exposed, Evita will investigate and determine if it is worth keeping. Sure, she may not find any of the goodies buried deeper, but there's just as much potential in the top layer.
