Changying makes more of a half hearted attempt at riffling through the sand. She's not big on getting sand in her fur or between her hooves. She'd rather recline on a chair or towel and relax than dig. But if she happens to be walking along the beach, mostly to feel the waves lap at her hooves and find something sitting there, sure, she'll pick it up. Heck, she'd probably pick up a stick and use it to poke around.
