Fia sat at home contemplating a revelation from just moments ago. The young kitsu always joked that obviously the best pronouns others should use were they/them, a play on the biting spirit companion. They looked over the light purple colored fangs spirit staring back with blank eyes. “I think…maybe even without you I would want people to use they for me….is that weird?” Fia asked slowly. The spirit seemed to cock it’s head in confusion before shaking it quickly in an attempt at reassurance. Fia smiled at their companion and gave it a gentle pat on the head. “Thanks. It’s a weird realization I think but I also feel better saying it out loud.” They said slowly, then giggled at the situation.
