Fantasia had never once made the conscious decision to find a partner. In fact she had been more than happy on her own, and then when her daughter came alone more than happy with just the two of them. Then she had gone on that quest and met Brin, her partner and her love. They had started as friends, and somewhere along the way it happened so naturally and without her really noticing. Now of course she wouldn’t have it any other way, but she realized she loved the way love just came naturally to the two of them. That was how she felt all of her strongest relationships, both with partners and with friends, should be, and she knew it wasn’t the way for every kitsu but it was for her and it worked. Still, she wanted a partner who felt similarly, that things should be more natural and happen on their own without the pressure of outside forces rushing or straining things.
