It was a beautiful day for a festival. Many came and were in celebration, like they should be.
Atlas looked through the flags that were there. The only reason they knew about this was because
they had explored it quite a bit before.

In the many activities, there was a tree where others wrote things down and tied them to the tree.
Atlas picked up a piece and read....

"What do you see yourself as?"

Atlas pondered on the words. Seeing others read theirs and tie it on the branch of the tree.

She picked up a brush pen.

"I see myself as an androgynous, Demisexual. She/They/Him/It, are all the same to me. As I am Atlas. Rivers."

"It seems like a simple question." Someone spoke up.

Atlas looked, and it was a kitsu finding a hard time simply writing something on the page. "We got the same one. I have a hard time.... its complex and simple. So simply but complex enough to feel like you are behind in some race- that after all this time- how can you *not* know what you see yourself as?"

Atlas smiled with some relief. "I think it only came easy to me because I spent a lot of time trying to figure out who I see in the mirror. Sometimes it's not only what you see that disappoints you but feeling like whatever you see is some permanency. Complacency. Looking in the mirror after you found yourself and what you see yourself as.... finally after all the social pressures are gone, after the trauma is healed, and after whatever your parents left over of you... and you can finally see freedom. Sometimes it takes the form of a smile, just appreciating existing. Just existing is enough..."

"What is your name?" The kitsu asked, and that question was probably a bit harder. How hard Atlas had to work to find their name....

"...My Name is Atlas Rivers, what's yours?" Filled with inner pride.
