Jaybird
These are pets that Kitsuagi have come to raise. Often using these creatures as one way to send mail from one Kitsuagi to another.
The Jaybird is an exceptional mimic, possessing the vocal talents of both a Blue Jay and a Parrot. It can reproduce a wide range of sounds, imitating the calls of other birds, animals, and even kitsu-made noises. This ability allows the Jaybird to communicate effectively and adds to its charm and sociability.
The Jaybird is highly intelligent, rivaling the problem-solving skills of Crows and the cleverness of Parrots. It enjoys puzzles and challenges, using its wits to find food and overcome obstacles in its environment. Like Blue Jays and Parrots, the Jaybird is inquisitive and enjoys exploring its surroundings, often showing curiosity about new objects and interactions. A bored Jaybird can become distructive, increasingly annoying , or aggressive.
It is typically found in family groups or small flocks, fostering a sense of community and cooperation. Similar to Crows, the Jaybird is highly social and engages in play and social bonding activities with its group members. Additionally, the Jaybird forms strong pair bonds during the breeding season. Due to this, solitary pets Jaybirds can become possessive of their favorite kitsu.
The Jaybird is an omnivorous bird, consuming a varied diet that includes nuts, seeds, fruits, insects, small vertebrates, and plant matter.
The Jaybird is well-suited to diverse habitats, including forests, woodlands, urban areas, and even open grasslands.
